Super little trap..
This has been the best and easiest to use trap I have found so far. I bought 4 of these. With one of the traps I caught 27 mice in just over 24 hours. I guess it was placed just right. I did catch a few more in the other traps. The only problem I have had with them is the locking mech. quit working on 1 and has gotten weak on another. But overall I give them a thumbs up. They beat the electronic traps. the safety traps and reg. traps, and poisons that I've tried. Really easy to empty. You don't have to touch the mouse at all. And (with the exception of a very tiny mouse) it is a quick kill everytime. We had a neighbor move but they left us some nasty surprises. We were over run with mice. Thankfully we have them under control now.

Finally it worked!
I have two things to add that I didn't see in the other reviews.
1. This DID NOT work immediately. For some reason the mouse would just not even look at it. I eventually got it to work when I put some peanut butter on one of the wooden mouse traps. The mouse ate all of the bait on that trap without setting it off, and then he must've been hungry for more. He FINALLY went to get some peanut butter bait from the d-con, and WHAM, dead on site.
2. If the mouse trap snaps, in order to reset it, you must push the pin back in. in the back of the trap where there is a slot, if you look at the very bottom, you will see a metal pin. This pin must be all the way in in order for you to be able to reset the trap. The best way to do it, is to turn the trap over on its side. Or, get some tool to hold it in place.
I'll even add a third thing. DON'T ASSUME THAT YOU ONLY HAVE ONE MOUSE!!! I did, and after catching my "one and only mouse" I was awaken during the middle of the night, and now need to purchase a couple more of these things.

Mine didn't work.
The hook that holds the metal bar in place doesn't work on mine. I know that if I didn't have a defective trap, it would have probably worked... but who knows with my mouse. It's managed to set off but avoid 1 Snap-E trap and 3 ordinary d-Con wooden traps. I was hoping this would do the trick, as I've had to move the food in my cupboards and pantry twice and tape up any and all openings, no matter how small and it seems to be working. I guess I'll have to manage life with a mouse in my kitchen. I don't want to use poison because the mouse hides in places I can't get to and I don't want it's dead body stinking up my house.

Took a few days, but it WORKED!
We had one impossible mouse that WOULD NOT be caught. He snuck in from our garage and made a nice little home for himself in our laundry room. We first bought the other no see, no touch D-con traps (the circle ones) since we had used those in the past with success. Well after days on end and NO mouse we decided to try a new trap. We bought this one and put it down there with all the other circle traps and the mouse was caught in this trap within two days.
Just a little warning - the tail was sticking out the back of the door, so prepare your stomach for that little sight. My husband chucked the entire trap in the garbage although you could re-use them if you had the stomach to empty it. Eww.
