I love this lamp,everyone should have one if they spend any serious time at their desk.It is better looking than the package suggests.The actual lighting is bright but not at all glaring and the light illuminates my entire desk area rather than one small spot .It's also good for people who don't get enough real sunlight(which is all of us)and that's really why I got it .I'm 57 and read and study a lot ;I have never had a desk lamp that I liked nearly as well.

Best desk lamp. Uses a 23 watt fluorescent that gives as much light as a 100 watt incandescent but without the heat. You can tilt the head back 180 degrees and it lights up the whole room.
