Amazon.com Review:
These days, home offices are often as busy as their corporate counterparts--and they need to be equally efficient and organized. Winsome Wood offers a line of modular furniture to supply just that while also presenting a clean, inviting style that blends well with domestic décors. This solid beechwood computer desk features a large, open workspace accompanied by a pullout keyboard that stows behind the faux drawer front. The Honey finish is warm and casual, and the slender legs keep the overall look light and airy. Add the writing desk, corner table, printer stand, file cabinet, and bookshelf to customize any space. This desk measures 42 inches wide by 20 inches deep by 29 inches high. Assembly is required. --Kara Karll

Buyer Reviews

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - fabulous desk!
Other reviewers had packing and delivery issues, but luckily I did not. As to the product, I couldn't be happier--it's nice, heavy wood--a beautiful finish, a clean design, and the hideaway keyboard tray is great. You could easily spend just as much for some pressboard crapola, so I'm extremely happy to have a "real" piece of furniture that's so solid and attractive.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great little table.
I bought this desk because I wanted a simple desk that matched the color of my kitchen table. It really is what it is, simple. The design is simple, the assembly is simple. That's not a hit against it because if that's not what you're looking for obviously you wouldn't be looking at this desk.

Anyway, there isn't much to say about it, it's put together well, and it's solid after it's assembled.

As far as the packaging goes, the other people that have reviewed this are spot on correct. The packaging looks like something you'd get from a table you bought at Wal-Mart. This is fine when all you have to do is run it from the store to your house, but it's really inadequate for cross country shipping. There isn't enough give in the packaging to be very forgiving of any mishandling. Luckily mine showed up just fine, but keep that in mind when you order one of these.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - classic & clean
We recently ordered this desk for my son and were pleasantly surprised when we recieved it first with how easy it was to put together (just screw on the legs and drawer knob) and second with the product itself. It is solid wood and a very sharp looking little desk, nicely styled. Only disappointment was that the honey color is a bit more orangey than we'd expected---would love it if there were other color options!
We like this desk so well that we just ordered a second one for my daughter.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Win some, lose some
After reading the June 8, 2007 review, I was worried about the quality of packaging. When this desk arrived at my front door, I saw that my fears were justified. The package was compact, leaving little room for protective material like bubble wrap. Careless handling might have caused some damage. Fortunately, my desk arrived in perfect condition. The legs, desk top, and keyboard tray were all wrapped to protect against scratches.

This is one of the few products not made in China. It was made in Thailand.

The wrench needed to attach the legs was included, and I used my Phillips screwdriver to screw on the front knob. The magnets are too powerful, making it difficult to pull open the keyboard compartment. I solved that problem by placing four pieces of transparent packing tape over the magnets. All told, including the taping, assembly took me around 40 minutes.

The legs, tray and desk top are all made of beautifully finished solid hardwood with a reddish blonde color. The tray slides in and out smoothly. The style is a bit plain and unadorned, but the quality and functionality are excellent. I'm very pleased with this purchase, especially because the modest price of $130 included free shipping.
